Aish’s High Holiday services beautifully blend tradition and education, creating an atmosphere that is both meaningful and accessible. The services are led primarily in English with some Hebrew, enriched by uplifting songs. Rabbi Tolwin provides thoughtful, relevant explanations throughout, deepening the understanding of the prayers and holiday themes. Whether you’re new to High Holiday services or a lifelong participant, Aish offers a welcoming, inspirational experience for Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur. This year we are honored to host for Yom Kippur Rabbi Gershon Schusterman, the author of Why God Why? Rabbi Gershon Schusterman Author of Why, God, Why? How to Believe in Heaven When it Hurts like Hell The book you need to have and hope you'll never need is originally from Crown Heights, Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a Chabad Shliach in Southern California for 20 years. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, serves as a mashpia, gives shiurim to Anash and lectures and writes on Jewish topics. He is married to Chana Rachel Schusterman, a teacher and lecturer in her own right, and is the father of eleven children.
